Ildikó has been playing the violin since she was eight years old. She graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Gyor and then joined the MÁV Symphony Orchestra. She’s played many concerts with them all over Europe in France, Holland, England, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Greece. She’s also been to Hong Kong, Japan and Beirut with them. György Szabados once asked her to perform in a piece that was different from the music styles she’d previously been involved with. It was a form of experimental music, with repetitive, jazzy and Hungarian influences. The pieces were called Time Music and Ritual Music. They were highly successful in Hungary and Vienna. Since then, Ildikó gladly accepts invitations to “stray” into various music styles. She found out about our project completely by accident when talking about music with our manager Lajos Gulyás at a class reunion. She said she might be interested, so Fábi sent her a CD of the album’s demo version. After listening to it, she accepted our offer. Hence the album also contains the work of a fine classical musician.
Ildikó can be heard playing on the following tracks:
The Conquest of Syrius, Journey to Homeland, Rising Spring Op. #01. and
Operation: Desert Storm
